Job Description
As the Learning Officer in Engineering, you will prepare, schedule, and conduct engineering skills training processes.
Some of the key responsibilities in this position will be
- Training needs analysis; induction, Induction, Training, and Mentoring of Learners, interns, and apprentices, Design, delivery, and Evaluation of Learning and Development activities and Competency modeling and competency assessment, training logistics and administration, Report on progress against predetermined targets
- Make sure compliance in terms of ISO, MQA, and QCTO requirements, and make sure of best practice integration in training methodology.
- make sure procedures and standards are implemented in training execution.
This position is at our learning department in Randfontein at a Band 7 level, reporting to the advisor.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum NQF Level 5 OD ETDP Higher Certificate and Rigger Trade Certificate
- Plating/Welding advantageous and Assessor and Moderator Certificate
Experience
- 3 years of engineering experience, of which 2 years as a senior in HRD and a knowledge of HRD strategy and plan that can be linked to national skills development legislation and regulation and good implementation of the strategy and plan competency modeling, and competency assessment experience
- Comprehensive training needs analysis background and Experience in the management of training providers and Design and delivery of development activities, individual development plans (IDPs), and Career Management
