Commercial Executive – Front End – Hammarsdale
Job Descriptions
As the Commercial Executive for the Front End in Hammarsdale, your primary role is to give strategic commercial support and insights to the Sales Director and Financial Director as well as the front-end teams. You’ll guide performance delivery, cost control, and integration across teams while driving improved client profitability and cost information. Your goal is to make sure in-year performance meets target levels by managing sales growth and cost of growth effectively.
The minimum Required Qualifications
- CIMA, Qualified CA (SA), or MBA preferred and FMCG industry experience is important
- 8 – 10 years experience in financial, operational, and business partnering roles
- Experience in leading business/cross-functional projects and good analytical and communication skills
- The capacity to make an impact in a complex environment, and Strong integrity and independence of judgment and High external client orientation and engagement
Role Responsibilities
Strategy, Contribution, and Execution:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to co-create and execute the commercial strategy and evaluate potential across customer portfolios to optimize performance.
- Address risks and opportunities to optimize in-year performance and ensure the best resolution of stock with regional and front-end teams.
Profitability Analysis & Reporting
- Drive enhanced customer and product profitability information and analyze variances in product profitability reports.
- Provide regular feedback on performance, manage the advancement of commercial reports, and identify opportunities for value-added reporting.
Spend Analysis, Cost Control, and Management
- Conduct spend variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities, Implement standardized processes and controls to manage spending and measure promotional effectiveness.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Compile aspects of the annual budget up to the Net revenue line and make sure adherence to deadlines and timeframes.
- Communicate with key internal personnel to gather information.
Commercial Insight and Technical Expertise
- Give detailed analysis and recommendations and participate in or lead workstreams to drive best practices.
- Share best practices with the team.
Consumer Pricing Support
- Provide accurate pricing information for negotiations and attend pricing negotiations when required.
- make sure product profitability objectives are achieved.
New Product Development (NPD) Support
- Review business cases for new products, Track NPD performance and present findings and Analyze portfolio from a customer and category lens.
Team Supervision
- Lead the team to meet strategy and targets and conduct performance appraisals and succession planning.
- Give training and support team members’ development.
KPIs
- Achievement of defined strategic priorities and profitability targets and Client satisfaction rate.
- Quality of profitability information and margin opportunities unlocked and Timeliness and accuracy of reporting and expense control.
