Job description
- Manage a commercially viable clinic in line with business guidelines and give lifestyle management screening tests
- Conduct “Well Baby” clinics, including health immunisations and baby health monitoring, and Offer and give reproductive health services
- give adult immunisations and also give Primary Health care, e.g. minor ailments and wound care
- Render a Phlebotomy Service and Compile professional, stock and financial management reports
- Manage medical waste, ensure a safe environment, and take safety precautions and also Manage adverse events and emergencies
- Counsel and advise patients on health information and weight management and refer patients to Pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate, Plan and implement “Health Days” and other projects and Develop health professional networks
The Qualifications and Experience Needed
- Registration as Professional Nurse, a 3 year diploma in nursing or the 4 year degree as well as a minimum of 3 years practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines, preferably Community Health, Primary Health and Midwifery
- Unisolv and Allegra (preferable) and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Skills, abilities and job-related Knowledge
- Make sure patient information is held securely, confidentially and accurately on an electronic system and administer and report to ensure efficient running of the clinic as per business policy and processes
- make sure payment for services received by ensuring controls are in place and adhered to and Manages, monitors and orders clinic services stock and equipment, along with preventing loss and shrinkage and monitoring cold chain
- Financial and commercial acumen, make sure SANC registration and indemnity are up-to-date
- Establishes locum network and arranges Implements and conducts self-audit tool and Time management
