  • Perishables/Frozen Foods x 1 position
  • Home Care x 1 position
  • Dry Goods x 2 positions

Job Purpose

As a National Category Manager, your main duties and responsibility is to fuel category growth by devising and executing strategic plans. You will leverage market insights and collaborate with suppliers to make sure competitive trade terms and market share in your designated category, Working closely with regional merchandise teams, you’ll drive sales, competitive pricing, and retail margins

Key performance areas

  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall merchandise goals, and identify growth priorities and private label opportunities in the category and Analyze market trends and performance data to drive decision-making.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with key suppliers to achieve category growth objectives and collaborate with regional merchandise teams to execute category strategies effectively

The Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing, or supply chain management and At least 8 years of experience in FMCG supply chain management, with a focus on category procurement and trading.
  • Deep knowledge of retail grocery dynamics and proven ability to drive category growth through strategic planning

Desired Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal stakeholders and an Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient negotiation skills and financial acumen, Self-driven with a commitment to achieving results.
